Fans have been treated to a first look at Megan Gale in the highly-anticipated new Mad Max film.
The post-Apocalyptic action blockbuster's trailer debuted at the weekend during Comic-Con in San Diego complete with high-octane car chases, sci-fi-style weapons and a handful of well-known faces.
While WA-raised Gale only appeared in the clip for a few seconds, her as yet unnamed character made an impression by cocking a large shotgun at the camera.
Covered in dirt and with her hair whipping out behind her, the model looks a world away from her new role as mother to newborn son River.
Shortly after the trailer was released, Gale took to Instagram to speak of her excitement at making the final cut.
'Just had a goosebump moment watching the new #madmaxfuryroad trailer,' she wrote.
'I did not expect to make the cut as my role is a small one but YEW!!! can't wait to see the entire film.'
Mad Max: Fury Road comes from the same director, George Miller, who originally cast Gale as Wonder Woman in an ill-fated Justice League movie several years ago.
While the movie is not set for release until May next year, the trailer gave a glimpse as to what fans can expect from the reboot, which originally starred Mel Gibson in the 1980s trilogy.
Tom Hardy has taken on the titular character this time around and Charlie Theron stars as rebel Imperator Furiosa, sporting a shaved head in the short.
Perth beauty Courtney Eaton also featured alongside Australian model Abbey Lee Kershaw and actress Zoe Kravitz.
The movie looks set to be Eaton's big break in Hollywood, with the former WA schoolgirl chosen to star in the flick after she attended an open casting call in 2012.
She will next appear in another blockbuster, Gods of Egypt, which was filmed earlier this year.
