The prime components of the kit are twin gels, which are applied to the under-eye region in two stages to form an invisible, elastic-like membrane that tightens puffy eye bags away in much the same way as Spanx streamlines the waist.


Backed by skincare guru Dr Robert Langer - the famed MIT professor who was recently awarded the 2013 Medal of Technology and Innovation by none other than President Obama - the liquid polymer elixir took ten years to develop.



The process of applying Neotensil is a little more bothersome than with your average under-eye gel, but certainly less so than any sort of invasive approach which involves needles, lasers or scalpels.


First, you apply your normal face of make-up, before wiping away any residue that ends up on the under-eye area (concealer is a no) with a disposable wipe from the kit.


Next you apply the first gel, which acts as a base, followed by the second, which activates the product - both using the plastic applicator provided. It takes around five minutes for the gels to completely fuse, during which time you are advised to keep as still as possible.


But perhaps her upcoming nuptials to finance Justin Theroux, 42, will be the ideal occasion for her to make use of the 16-hour-fix.
